The Virgen de la Merced foundation was created and constituted as a private and social entity on May 23rd of 1996 with no profitable purposes, through the Ministerial agreement No. 810 granted by the Social Welfare Ministry.

In 2007, the HOLDINGDINE S.A. integrated to its managerial chores the Virgen de la Merced Foundation, to continue sharing with the children and special teenagers, the right to have special rehab and education of quality, with the purpose to re-insert them to the social, familiar and labor matters when the conditions permit it, all this marked by the respect of their rights.

The Virgen de la Merced Foundation develops support programs:

1. Delivery of protesis, wheel chairs, hearing aid, orthopedics, medicines, economical aid for medical treatments and surgical attentions to people with chronic and terminal illnesses.


2. Through the Especial Education and Rehab Institute provides workshops:
