EXPLOCEN C.A. was constituted on April 27^th, 1977, with the purpose to elaborate, import, export, storage, commercialize and distribute industrial explosives and explosion accessories, for the hydrocarbon, mining, civil works, seismic exploration markets, the Armed Forces and the National Police.

A North American enterprise, Austin Powder Inc., is one of the most important companies in the world in the development, fabrication and commercialization of explosives and it shares stakes with the HOLDINGDINE S.A.; this association has permitted EXPLOCEN C.A. to obtain specialized advice, security in the productive processes and technology transfer.

EXPLOCEN C.A. has its own Industrial Plant in the province of Cotopaxi, for the production of the material follows the next regulations:

• Law 3757 and its norms: Fabrication, importation, exportation, commercialization and having of weapons, ammunition, explosives and accessories.
• INEN: Ecuadorian Technical Norm NTE INEN 2 216:99 Explosives, use, storage, handle and transport.
• Occupational Health and Security:
       IESS.- Norms of security and occupational health.
       IME.- Norms of security given by the Institute of Manufacturers of Explosives of the
       United Status and Canada.
• Certifications:Quality procedures system under the norm ISO 9001:2000.
• Environment: Municipal regulations on the environment.
• Financial: NEC, Law of Customs, CONSEP, taxation, fiscal, Law of Companies
• Products: Spanish Norms (Normas Españolas) UNE, equivalent to the INEN norms in Ecuador.
